You called me names
And picked on my flaws
You judged me
And pushed me to breaking point
What gave you the right to do that?
What gave you the right to hurt me?
You threw off the blame
And hurt me even more
You judged me
And threw my mind out of joint
Who told you that you could do that?
Who told you that you could hurt me?

The worst thing of all
That you ever did to me
You made me judge myself
You had me second guessing everything I did
What gave you the right to do that?
What gave you the right to hurt me?
It was way back in school
But now you'll never see
How I still judge myself
Because of everything you said
Who told you that you could do that?
Who told you that you could hurt me?

You look back on your past
With a bittersweet smile
As no one ever hurt you
No one ever made you feel worthless
What gives you the right to have that?
What gives you the right to be so unscathed?
But one thing that will last
Is the hate in my bile
As I'll always hate you
And you created this
And this hate is something you'll have
Because it is something you made
No one has the right to judge another. Bullying needs to be stomped out as the memory of one shove or snide comment at school, can last a lifetime. It isn't fair and something needs to be done.

This was a really good poem. I was wondering if you'd like me share it on my Facebook page Words2Heal?

I got teary because this is so true, and you were able to express what it feels like very well.

You'd be surprised.
Some of those bullies have bad lives too.
Still doesn't excuse them from being the jackasses they are, but still.
Like for example, take this sort of friend I have.
She was sexually abused as a child, and as were grew older, she became one of those popular "I'm better than you" girls who thinks she's better than everyone.
She even picked on me, telling me things that were wrong with my appearance and would say "If only you did so and so, then more guys would want to date you" it'd piss me off with how bad she made me feel, but at least I knew why she was the way she was :/

I agree with !PsycheLock.  something needs to be done about bullies.  a few months ago one of my friends best friends from another district committed suicide because he was bullied.  its a huge problem, and the bullies almost never get punished because they are "The Pride and Joy of the School"!  its not fair.  we are under a constitutional right of equality, and still some people are treated better than others.

I couldn't agree more, it really is terrible and it's only made worse by the fact that it so often feels like there is very little we can do to change the situation. It's very sad because bullying still isn't seen as being as important in ones life as it actually is, bullying can damage people for a lifetime and as you pointed out with your comment, sometimes this damage is too much for people to stand at all resulting in tragic losses!

I wish bullies realized what they do. I hate when they think they can just do mean things to you for being different or unquie...
However... My best friend ended up being my elementary school bully and he feels bad everyday for what he did. Life's wierd like that I guess.

I agree with you. I'm sick of this whole "boys will be boys" attitude towards bullying. Teachers just roll their eyes at what is obviously bullying, like it's not their problem.
Imagine if somebody you loved hung himself because they were bullied. If it were me, I'd hunt them down and make them pay.
Honestly, I wish people would get brains and do what's right instead of being so stupid and preaching cowardice and Sailor Moon logic (love your bullies etc.).
