You lost that smile
It is gone from my life
It was truth in denial
Simply stubborn and right

And you lost that look
That look in your eyes
Like the words in a book
Only hopeful and bright

We met in the fall
And your laugh pulled me in
You were risking it all
On a prayer and a wing
You smiled at me
And I smiled at you
It was easy to see
That we'd make it through

You lost that laugh
And the way that you'd fall
Always open to love
Always risking it all

So many things
That I once adored
You're slowly losing
Everything that was yours
And so many things
That you loved about me
They're slowly breaking
As we fall at full speed

And you lost that sigh
In the breaking of dawn
When you'd scoot to my side
And give in to my pull

I know that things change
And people do too
But you change more each day
I know I'm losing you
But you were never mine
We just fell in the fall
And we landed one night
And started losing it all

You lost yourself
And you're losing me too
As I'm scared I can't help
And I won't watch you lose
